TRAINS database is currently accessible through the World Integrated Trade Solution (WITS) software.

WITS was developed jointly by the World Bank and UNCTAD.
In addition, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) participated in a Steering Group on the project and developed the Help facility.

At the moment no fee is requested to access TRAINS database as the World Bank is sponsoring, for a period of one year, all users of TRAINS via WITS.

The user needs to register prior to being given access to WITS.

Once the registration is received, an account is created and a password sent to the user along with instructions on how to install the client software for WITS.
