The meeting focuses on several subjects that were mentioned in a letter of the Cambodian Environment Minister to the Secretary-General of UNCTAD of early 2005, in which the Minister seeks UNCTAD's assistance in providing training. The meeting focuses on three key issues:
(i) trade aspects of ISO 9000;
(ii) measures for environmental protection under WTO rules; and
(iii) labeling for environmental purposes.

On the latter subject, the meeting will discuss the experience of Thailand in shaping and implementing its eco-labeling programme.
