The panel and the following debate will seek to address the following issues:
- Key findings of UNCTAD's published Trade and Environment Review 2006, which
focuses on environmental requirements and market access - developing pro-active
approaches and strategies;
- Elaborating on key results of sector-focused project activities under UNCTAD's
Consultative Task Force on Environmental Requirements and Market Access: The
EurepGAP standard - challenges and opportunities for horticultural exports
from developing countries;
- The gap between stringent market access requirements and Social and economic
realties of small producer in developing countries – opportunities arising
from the holistic approach under organic agriculture.
