Sub-regional Workshop on Environmental Requirements, Market Access/Entry and Export Competitiveness for the Horticultural sector

Bangkok, Thailand. 29 September – 1 October 2004
This workshop is being organised under the project "Building
Capacity for Improved Policy Making and Negotiation On Key Trade and Environment
Issues", which has been launched in March 2003. The workshop will focus on environmental
requirements, market access/penetration and export competitiveness for horticultural
products from the six beneficiary countries of the project (Bangladesh, Cambodia,
China, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam). The workshop will discuss the country-case
studies prepared with a view to exchanging national experience on pro-active
policies and discussing sub-regional initiatives, if appropriate.
