Chematch is dedicated to international chemicals, plastics
and fuel products trade. $110 millions was traded in third quarter
of 2000 through the auction.
In june 2000, the first -ever online option was traded. In Sept. 2000,
an agreement with CME (and thus Globex2) allows the creation of derivatives
contracts on the back of the spot contracts being traded already.
Options gives the rigth to buy or sell product at a predetermine date
and at a defined strike price, but if the otion is executed, product
will be supplied (unlike a financial option). |
