The Carbon Market Programme and its predecessor has been supported by the United Nations Foundation/ United Nations Fund for International Partnerships, and the Governments of Germany, Netherlands, Norway, United Kingdom (Foreign and Commonwealth Office), United States (US AID, US EPA), as well as by the private sector.

Earth Council

An international non-governmental organization that was created in September 1992 to promote and advance the implementation of the Earth Summit agreements.
It aims to promote awareness for the needed transition to a more sustainable and equitable pattern of development, encourage participation in decision-making processes at all levels of government, and build bridges of understanding between important actors of civil society.
