Note (s):

  • A data-sharing procedure linking both institutions is implemented using Oracle’s snapshot replications. 
  • A grant module integrated into the DMFAS has been developed.
  • The government uses the automatic bridge between DMFAS and DRS, the World Bank’s Debtor Reporting System.

Activities in 2008 (project and non-project)

  • Workshop in Geneva on the following DMFAS technical aspects: database structure, replication procedure and DMFAS security, in April

  • Technical mission - DMAFS 5.3 upgrade to patch 20, in June

  • Final project evaluation mission, in June

  • On-going DMFAS Programme support (including project management, administrative, documentation and IT) regarding implementation of the DMFAS system as well as current and future capacity-building activities was provided from Geneva during the year.  In addition to the organization of project activities this included, for example, two updates (patches 19 and 20) to the DMFAS system currently installed in both institutions and related documentation.  It also included DMFAS Helpdesk user support.  The latter responded to 15 country-specific assistance requests during the year.


Planned activities:
Continued DMFAS support regarding implementation of the DMFAS system as well as other capacity-building activities in debt management.  Including:

  • DMFAS Helpdesk user support
  • Start of discussions on the elaboration of a new project document for the implementation of DMFAS 6 at the Central Bank.
