A special module called Foreign Documentary Credits (FODOC) was developed for the Islamic Republic of Iran. The DMFAS Helpdesk is currently supporting the FODOC system as well as the DMFAS.

The government uses the automatic bridge between DMFAS and DRS, the World Bank’s Debtor Reporting System.
Activities in 2008 (project and non-project):
- Signature (in June) of a preparatory project (letter of agreement) for a new project which will cover the installation of DMFAS version 5.3, and related training at the Central Bank.
- Needs assessment mission to the Central Bank, in August
- On-going DMFAS Programme support (including project management, administrative, documentation and IT) regarding implementation of the DMFAS system as well as current and future capacity-building activities was provided from Geneva during the year. In addition to the organization of project activities, this included, for example DMFAS Helpdesk user support. The latter responded to 4 country-specific requests during the year (at end August).
Planned activities:
Continued DMFAS support regarding implementation of the DMFAS system as well as other capacity-building activities in debt management. Including:
- Signature of the afore-mentioned new project document which will include the Installation of DMFAS 5.3 at the Central Bank and related IT and functional training, debt data validation workshop, as well as a project evaluation mission.
- DMFAS Helpdesk user support
- Invitation for DMFAS end-users to participate in a regional DPA workshop in Amman, Jordan in November 2008.
