Activities in 2008 (project and non-project): 

• National Debt Statistics workshop, in July 8-16 2008.

• Follow-up support to the debt statistics workshop, July 17-25 2008

• Support from DMFAS Headquarters on the finalization of Ethiopia's first public debt statistical bulletin, August-October 2008.

• Participation of four officials in regional debt portfolio analysis workshop, Amman Jordan 9-13 November 2008.

• Support for participation of one officer in the 18th OECD Global Forum on Public Debt Management and 3rd Forum on African Public Debt Management, Paris, France, 3-5 December 2008.

• On-going DMFAS Programme support (including project management, administrative, documentation and IT) regarding implementation of the DMFAS system as well as current and future capacity-building activities was provided from Geneva during the year.  In addition to the organization of project activities this included DMFAS Helpdesk user support.  The latter responded to two country-specific assistance requests during the year.
