Note:
The re-activation of the system in the Ministry of Finance, along with the installation of DMFAS 5.3, is under completion in the current active project.
Activities in 2008 (project and non-project):

• Participation to the UNCTAD/Pôle-Dette workshop on debt statistics, in Lome, Togo, in May 2008

• DMFAS 5.3 installation and related technical training in July

• DMFAS 5.3 functional training, building up the database, data validation workshop, on-going data validation. A consultant is providing continuous training and support in Bangui since July and until mid-December.

• On-going DMFAS Programme support (including project management, administrative, documentation and IT) regarding implementation of the DMFAS system as well as on  current and future capacity-building activities was provided from Geneva during the year. In addition to the organization of project activities, this included, for example, an update (patch 20) to the DMFAS system currently installed in the Ministry of Finance as well as user documentation updates.  It also included DMFAS Helpdesk user support. The latter responded to eight country-specific assistance requests during the year.

Planned activities:
Continued DMFAS support regarding implementation of the DMFAS system as well as other capacity-building activities in debt management.  Including:

• DMFAS Helpdesk user support
• Study tour in the debt office of another country
• Debt statistics workshop
