About AMAD
AMAD is the most comprehensive collection of available public data on WTO market access in agriculture.
It is the result of a co-operative effort by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, European Commission - Agriculture Directorate-General, FAO, OECD, UNCTAD and United States Department of Agriculture - Economic Research Service.
AMAD contains detailed data on WTO tariffs and TRQ schedules, import data, applied tariffs, production and consumption.
AMAD contains data for over 50 countries, including all major agricultural trading members.
The data is updated yearly and more countries are being added.
AMAD is based in MS Access/Excel.
Sources of data in AMAD are WTO tariff and TRQ schedules, WTO notifications of TRQ implementation, UNCTAD TRAINS, UNSD COMTRADE, FAOstat, Eurostat, and various national trade data.
Data in AMAD is used in the UNCTAD Agricultural Trade Policy Simulation Model (ATPSM).
